Published Scholarship and Analysis

My analytical work has been published and presented across Australian and international regulatory and public health platforms.

  • Evoking Indigenous Health Sovereignty: What Regulators Must Learn - Croakey Health Media, December 2025. A sovereignty-grounded analysis of what genuine structural accountability requires of regulatory bodies - moving beyond advisory committees and consultation processes toward transferred decision-making authority.

  • Confronting the Hidden Logic of Racism in Health Practitioner Regulation - Croakey Health Media, June 2025. An analytical account of the organisational logic that perpetuates racism within healthcare systems, and what structural redesign - rather than policy adjustment - actually requires.

  • How To Attract, Retain and Grow the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce in Australia: A Self-Determined Approach - Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management, Vol. 19 No. 3, December 2024 (peer-reviewed, Scopus and Web of Science indexed). Co-authored with colleagues from Ahpra's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Strategy Unit and Research Evaluation and Insights Team, this conference article presents findings from an Indigenous-led webinar series identifying four key policy action areas as a roadmap for building a sustainable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce grounded in self-determination.

  • Australia is Regulating Against Racism in Healthcare - The Registrar, Fall 2024 (Canadian national trade publication of the licensing and regulation sector). This piece presented Australia's regulatory approach to eliminating racism in healthcare to an international audience of licensing and regulatory professionals, positioning the Ahpra model as a global reference point for enforceable cultural safety obligations.
